
Robert F. LaPrade, MD, PhD, was honored to co-chair the LATAM Masters Knee Course with Dr. Roberto Negrin in Santiago, Chile, October 1-2, 2026. Sponsored by Smith+Nephew, the advanced course brought together nearly 200 participants for two days of education focused on the treatment of complex knee injuries.
The program covered challenging conditions and procedures, including meniscal radial, ramp and root tears; revision ACL reconstruction; closing wedge proximal tibial osteotomies; and MCL, PCL and posterolateral corner injuries.
Dr. LaPrade joined national and international faculty for expert lectures, crossfire debates and live cadaver surgical demonstrations. International faculty included Dr. Andrew Geeslin, Dr. Camilo Helito, Dr. Gustavo Rincon, Dr. Rodrigo Maestu and Dr. Jonathon Super.
The 2026 meeting also marked the 10th year of the LATAM Masters Knee Course. Dr. LaPrade congratulated Dr. Negrin on reaching this milestone and thanked the faculty and highly engaged participants for contributing to an outstanding educational program.
