On Wednesday May 13, 2015 Dr. LaPrade and his team at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) received a Conference Grant from the National Institutes of Health for the project 2015 AAOS/ORS Biologic Treatments of Orthopaedic Injuries Research Symposium. Dr. LaPrade serves as the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Research Chair and as a member of the AAOS Board of Delegates.
Dedicated to orthopedic research, Dr. LaPrade has published over 200 peer-reviewed publications. Beginning in February of 1989, Dr. LaPrade has received his first Research Grant. The Grant awarded by the National Institutes of Health will be Dr. LaPrade’s 49th Research Grant. Dr. LaPrade’s research has a global influence – many of the current anatomic-based knee reconstructions used around the world were designed and tested based upon Dr. LaPrade’s research.
