Orthopedics This Week recognized Colorado knee specialist Robert LaPrade, MD, PhD, as one of the top 28 North American sports knee surgeons of 2014. The list was compiled through a phone survey of thought leaders in the field and includes “arguably the finest knee physicians, teachers, investigators or administrators in the country.”
As a sports knee surgeon at The Steadman Clinic and Chief Medical Officer at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, Dr. LaPrade is dedicated to treating patients with innovative care. Dr. LaPrade is recognized worldwide for his techniques in treating complex ligament injuries, posterolateral knee injuries, PCL tears, and meniscal transplants.
Through his passion for orthopedic research, Dr. LaPrade has gained international recognition in the sports medicine community. “He is outstanding at merging basic science, translational research, and clinical application when it comes to complex ligament issues. He is an intelligent and thoughtful surgeon,” said one of his peers.
