Amanda Peña is the Practice Coordinator and Executive Assistant to Dr. LaPrade. She grew up in Vail and joined our team after working in physical therapy for over 10 years. Her background makes her the perfect liaison between patient and physician. Amanda is the initial contact for all patients and works with each patient to coordinate office visits, surgeries and all other patient needs. Amanda’s responsibilities also include coordinating personal and research related events for Dr. LaPrade.
Laurie Wohlt, PT, DPT, OCS joined our team as a Physical Therapist and comes to us from New London, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her graduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She further performed an Orthopaedic Residency through Evidence in Motion in conjunction with earning her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy at Regis University. Working closely with physicians, surgeons and therapists in Vail she specializes in Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine with a special interest in the knee.
Nick DePhillipo, ATC, OTC, CSCS is the Athletic Trainer for Dr. LaPrade and completed The Steadman Clinic athletic training fellowship in 2016. Nick oversees clinical duties and serves as liaison between patients and physical therapists for postoperative rehabilitation. He also acts as a first assistant in all surgical cases and is responsible for research pertaining to clinical outcomes. Nick is originally from Margate, New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at Rowan University in 2013 and his Master’s of Science degree in Advanced Athletic Training in 2015 from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. He is an avid surfer and ice hockey player and enjoys visiting back home when he can, spending time with family and friends. Nick is very excited for this opportunity and continuing his practice at The Steadman Clinic.
Fred Cook, PA-C Began his career as a Radiologic Technologist in vascular interventional procedures at a Level 1 trauma hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. With a desire to be more involved in patient care and surgical procedures he became a Physician Assistant focused on orthopaedics and sports medicine. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging Technology at Indiana University School of Medicine and his graduate degree at Indiana University School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Fred is one of the Physician Assistants on the team who is responsible for our patient’s medical management including pre and post-operative care, medications, and rehabilitation.
